Hello, I'm Jonathan Buckman, and since 2014, I have been providing consulting services to the oil and gas industry through my company, Buckman LLC. After graduating from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, in December 2011, I spent three years working as a full-time employee for various oil and gas service companies. Recognizing the industry's evolving needs, I transitioned to consulting to offer specialized expertise and flexibility to oil and gas operating companies.

Since then, I have worked long-term with several upstream oil and gas companies in the SCOOP/STACK and Permian Basin regions as a staff-augmentation contractor consultant. In these roles, I have assisted with various aspects of water management and construction, serving as a field representative for these companies.

Engaging consultants like myself is a common strategy in the oil and gas industry. This approach allows operating companies to access specialized skills and experience without the commitment of full-time employment. By charging a consultant's time to the joint cost account for specific wells, these companies distribute costs among all partners, significantly reducing their direct expenses—they pay only their working interest share of the consultant's cost. Additionally, utilizing consultants helps operating companies maintain a lean official employee headcount, offering accounting, tax, ESG, and operational benefits. It also provides flexibility in workforce management, which is crucial in an industry known for its cyclical nature.

My approach combines innovative problem-solving with a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. I pride myself on building lasting relationships with clients by consistently delivering high-quality results and adapting swiftly to the ever-changing landscape of the oil and gas industry. If there's a skill I don't possess, I am committed to acquiring it. If there's a tool I need, I ensure I obtain it. I continuously expand my capabilities to meet the diverse needs of my clients.
